Despite our opposition efforts during the legislative session, and our joint effort with Defense Counsel of Rhode Island to request a gubernatorial veto (see the attached letter) of the legislation once passed and transmitted by the General Assembly, the below (duplicate House and Senate) legislation has become law without the Governor’s signature. These bills are among the very few that remained to be considered by the Governor.
